A3ES Agency launches student participation process in the evaluation/accreditation of study cycles

The A3ES Agency launched in 2011 an experimental process of student participation in the evaluation/accreditation process of study cycles in operation, as defined in the document "Student Participation in External Evaluation Committees - Experimental Exercise" (Annex I), which is ongoing.

In view of the recruitment and selection of students to join the EACs that will operate in the 2nd year of the 2012-2016 evaluation/accreditation cycle (i.e., that will evaluate the study cycles in operation to be submitted for accreditation in December 2012 and that will be evaluated in the course of 2012/2013), A3ES opens applications for students interested in participating in this process.

The areas to be assessed in this year are as follows:

- Training of Kindergarten and Primary School Teachers (1st and 2nd Cycles);
- History and Archaeology;
- Political Science and Citizenship;
- Communication;
- Finance, Banking and Insurance;
- Public Administration;
- Management and Administration;
- Law;
- Applied Legal Studies;
- Computer Science and Computer Engineering;
- Electrotechnics, Electronics and Automation;
- Architecture and Urbanism.

Students who have successfully attended at least one curricular year in one of the areas mentioned above may apply. Interested parties should register with their respective Student Association or send the application directly to A3ES, to the address a3es@a3es.pt. They must indicate the data that identifies them, including cycle of studies, year and institution they attend, as well as contacts (address, telephone, email address), and also include a curriculum with the relevant data (files below).

The deadline for applications is December 15. Applicants who meet the required conditions will be invited to attend a one-day training course to be held in early 2013.
