For all those who want to discover how to transform an idea into a real company and need specialized support in this process, START@ULisboa is a business acceleration program that offers a learning experience, creating an immersive environment that is close to reality, where learning is done through experience (learning by doing) and where participants feel the pressures and uncertainties that are common in the process of setting up a startup.

Unlike other acceleration events, programs or bootcamps, START@ULisboa is a premium, hands-on program, coordinated by entrepreneurship experts with real-world experience in startups.

Having ideas is not hard. Hard is turning a business idea into a real company.

START@ULisboa is a 3-week business accelerator program that creates a learning by doing experience for participants, so that they feel the pressures and uncertainties common in the process of setting up a startup company. Just like in the real world, participants work in teams to learn how to market-validate their value propositions and design business models.

With the help of mentors with experience in startups, funding, and diverse areas of knowledge, at START@ULisboa each team follows a precise methodological path, which allows them to assess the potential success of the business idea, before investing time and money in its development.

The end result of the course is not a Business Plan or a PowerPoint presentation to present to investors.

The course program requires that participants have the availability to work outside the classroom, during the breaks between the blocks of sessions. It is during these periods that the teams collect the information needed for the validation exercises.
