University of Lisbon hosts 1st MAR Network Conference

The Mar Interdisciplinary Thematic Network (MAR Network) is an initiative of the Rectorate of the University of Lisbon (ULisboa) to enhance the university's research and development skills in a strategic area for the region and the country.
ULisboa's 18 schools have very competitive research groups in the areas of Environment and Well-being, Geo and Bioprospecting and Ocean Engineering.
The Network's initial group of experts has been preparing a diagnosis of internal competencies and debating the major challenges facing the sector's economic development.
The 1st Annual Conference of the MAR Network will be a moment to share these reflections with the ULisboa academic community and thus strengthen the collaborative work that will allow the university to reinforce its strategic positioning as an internationally competitive partner.
