Debate at IST: The (in)sustainability of the Euro

It takes place on October 22, 2015, by 1 8:00 a.m. at the GA3 Auditorium of the Instituto Superior Técnico (Central Pavilion), a debate on the themes: The (in)sustainability of the Euro, Alternatives to the single currency, Germany's position on the Euro and the Future of the European Union.

 The following speakers will take part in this debate:

Prof. Dr. João Ferreira do Amaral

Retired Full Professor at ISEG.
Chairman of the Board of the Association for the Competitiveness of the Forestry Industry.
Member of the Economic and Social Council.
Former member of the Statistical Council. Director-General of the Central Planning Department. Member of the Economic Policy Committee of the then EEC and advisor to the civil house of the President of the Republic. Degree, doctorate and aggregate in Economics from ISEG.

Prof. Dr. Vítor da Conceição Gonçalves

Full Professor of Management, ISEG.
Chairman of the Management Department of ISEG.
He has held senior management positions in private companies and public institutions (Member of the General and Supervisory Board of EDP, Non-Executive Director of ZON Multimédia; Chairman of the Supervisory Board of EDP Foundation, Chairman of Gabtec, Member of the Economic and Social Council, Vice-Rector of the Technical University of Lisbon; Chairman of the Board of Directors of ISEG, etc.).
Degree, Doctorate and Aggregate in Management.
Author of dozens of papers on management topics in leading international academic journals and other national and international publications.
