Santander Universities Volunteer Award

Young university students are becoming increasingly aware of the importance of active citizenship for the development of society, and are therefore promoting numerous projects of great impact and value to our society.

Aware of this trend and in order to respond to the challenges posed by the "Rio Charter", namely supporting the projection of Higher Education Institutions in Civil Society, Sandanter Universidades launched the Santander Universities University Volunteering Award.

The Prize, which aims to promote volunteering as an exercise in active citizenship with benefits for society and also for the development of young people's personal skills during their academic career in higher education, aims to distinguish 10 finalist projects of high merit and reward the top 3 with a cash prize of 5000, 3000 and 2000 euros respectively, as well as mentoring support over the course of a year from a senior director at Banco Santander Totta.

Applications must be submitted by November 18, 2016 and must be made online via the Facebook page -  www.facebook.com/santanderuniversidadesportugal/.
