It is with deep regret that we announce the death of Alberto da Ponte, graduate of ISEG in Economic and Financial Sciences. Alberto da Ponte passed away this Saturday, at the age of 64, victim of a prolonged illness.
Alterto da Ponte has maintained a strong connection to ISEG, having been President of Alumni Económicas between 2011 and 2014.
With a diversified professional background, he has worked for national and international companies, such as Unilever and Jerónimo Martins, in different geographical markets.
He was Chairman of the Board of Directors of RTP, between 2012 and 2015, and CEO of Sociedade Central de Cervejas e Bebidas (SCC), between 2004 and 2012.
He was currently chairing the general assembly board of the SCC, where he had a consultancy role.
We extend our deepest condolences to his family.
The funeral will take place this afternoon in Lisbon, at 3pm, at the Alto de São João cemetery.
