The FCT has published the notices for the submission of applications to the next Calls for Proposals to Stimulate Scientific Employment for the Individual and Institutional modalities. The two calls open up 700 more places for contracts with PhD researchers. These Calls to Stimulate Scientific Employment are two funding instruments for hiring researchers introduced by the FCT in 2017, following the publication of Decree-Law no. 57/2016, and which aim to stimulate scientific and technological employment in all areas of knowledge.
Applications for 4th edition of the Individual Scientific Employment Stimulus Competition (CEEC Individual) The call will run from January 29 to February 26, 2021, with 400 vacancies for contracts. The CEEC Individual is an annual competition that directly supports the hiring of doctoral researchers in all scientific areas who wish to carry out their scientific research or technological development activities in Portugal, at institutions that are part of the National Science and Technology System (SNCT).
Applications for 2nd edition of the Institutional Scientific Employment Stimulus Competition (CEEC Institucional) The call will run from February 17 to April 16, 2021 and offers 300 contract vacancies. The CEEC Institutional is a biennial call for institutions to support the development of R&D activities through the hiring of doctoral researchers, namely in careers.
Together, the four editions of the CEEC Individual and the two editions of the CEEC Institutional total 2,200 vacancies for contracts with doctoral researchers. In both calls, the FCT finances contracts for up to 6 years.
