ISEG consolidates presence in Financial Times rankings of masters in Finance after debut in 2020

ISEG's Master in Finance ranks 35th in the world, being the Portuguese school that provides the highest salary increases to graduates and has the best cost-benefit ratio.

ISEG - Lisbon School of Economics and Management was once again present in the Financial Times rankings, the most relevant international ranking for Business Schools.

This is the second time that ISEG integrates these rankings after debuting last year.

The Financial Times table highlights the ISEG master's degree as providing the fifth highest salary increase worldwide (+77%) and the eighth best value for money, allowing students to quickly recoup their academic investment. Faster, even, than graduates of HEC Paris, leader of the ranking for the third consecutive time.

According to Clara Raposo, Dean of ISEG - Lisbon School of Economics and Management, "it is fantastic to see the international recognition of the enormous quality of our program. ISEG is to be congratulated. Still, he adds, "the debut in the FT rankings in 2020 was a moment of special pride for ISEG and it was not a fluke - here we are again!" "We continue our tireless work to ensure that we attract the best students, in Portugal and around the world, and that we prepare them to be wise men at the helm of the economy of the future. Always with boldness and originality," he concludes.

Graduates' satisfaction with career services - counselling, events, personal development, internship search and recruitment - places the ISEG Career Office as the best in Portugal and 12th in the world. Also in terms of satisfaction, but evaluating the program as a whole, ISEG obtained the second highest score in Portugal (9.06 out of 10), significantly above the total ranking average of 8.91.

The gender balance at ISEG is also highlighted in this edition, namely for presenting the program with the most female students in Portugal (44%) and also for being one of the schools with the highest representation of women in the advisory board (56%).

Along with ISEG, three more Portuguese schools joined this ranking: Nova SBE and Católica SBE, which maintained their positions in the top 30, and Iscte Business School, which moved up to position 51. As in 2020, this edition of the rankings includes 55 schools, classified according to their scores in 17 different indicators.
