17th National Conference on Health Economics at ISEG, from October 20 to 22

17th National Conference on Health Economics will take place at ISEG from October 20 to 22.

This conference is organized by the Portuguese Association of Health Economics (APES). https://apes.pt/) and includes 27 parallel sessions with more than 90 scientific paper presentations. Among the various sessions, there are 5 specific sessions for the presentation of work carried out on the current pandemic. In addition, the conference will have 2 organized sessions on current pressing issues: one dedicated to the informal caregivers and long-term care, and the second dedicated to human resources for health - in particular with the discussion of retention policies for professionals.

The Chair of the APES Board, Céu MateusShe is a former student of ISEG and currently a Lecturer at Lancaster University, UK.

This event has the participation of professors from ISEG, namely Professor Carlos Farinha Rodrigues, teacher Joana Pais and teacher Sandra Maximiano.

The closing session on the 22nd will be attended by His Excellency, the Secretary of State for Health, Dr. Diogo Serras Lopes.
