ISA, ISEG and INIAV offer a new PhD course in "Agricultural Innovation in Tropical Food Chains

The PhD in Agricultural Innovation in Tropical Food Chains is offered jointly by the Instituto Superior de Agronomia (ISA, ULisboa) and the University of Lisbon. Institute of Economics and Management (ISEG, ULisboa), in collaboration with the National Institute for Agricultural and Veterinary Research (INIAV).

This course is oriented towards the transformation of societies in tropical regions through the development of a vital, competitive and sustainable agricultural sector. It promotes excellent research through the integration of skills in agronomic and environmental science and engineering and economic science with knowledge on the specificities of biological, environmental, economic resources and societies of tropical regions, to innovate in agri-food systems from a socio-ecological, technological and integrated perspective of the particular value chains of these regions. 
It is aimed at students from temperate countries with skills in agriculture and agri-food chains who want contextualization in tropical regions and students from tropical countries who seek to confront their contextualized knowledge with exposure to new technical and scientific knowledge through an international training experience.

This New Cycle of Studies was Accredited by the Agency for Assessment and Accreditation of Higher Education (A3ES).
