Interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary approaches are recognized as a necessary condition for responding to current societal challenges and achieving sustainable development.
The College of Food, Farming and Forestry (F3) organizes,
on January 23 between 10:15 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. in the Salão Nobre of the Rectory of the University of Lisbona round table on the theme
"INTERDISCIPLINARY thinking".
The event will be attended by
Uskali Mäki (Academy of Finland Center of Excellence in the Philosophy of the Social Sciences),
Olga Pombo (Center for Philosophy of Sciences of ULisboa) and
José Lima Santos (F3 College - ULisboa).
The expectation is to generate a challenging debate on interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary thinking, concepts, methodologies and the dynamics of their application in science, and the role of political and decision-making bodies.
