ISEG and Vodafone Foundation create app for communication between students, teachers and administrative services
ISEG - Lisbon School of Economics & Management and the Vodafone Portugal Foundation have just launched a free application that promotes real-time communication and shortens the distance between students, teaching staff and the school's administrative services.
In a pioneering initiative in Portugal, this app provides a map of ISEG's facilities, allowing you to make an assisted journey around the university campus, between buildings and inside them, showing students the routes to follow, whether to classrooms, auditoriums, the canteen, the ATM machine or the library.
The new app also makes it possible to consult curriculum content, grades and final marks, deadlines for handing in work, class timetables, students' current accounts, books available in the library, canteen menus, parking availability, generate statements in real time and even receive notifications about relevant deadlines that have to be met.
Available for iOS and Android, this bilingual app aims to help boost and enhance the relationship and closeness between students and the school, facilitate the integration of new students, particularly foreign students, and optimize communication flows.
Attended by around 5,000 students of more than 50 nationalities, enrolled in 7 undergraduate degrees, 20 master's degrees, 8 doctoral programs, 28 postgraduate degrees, an MBA, and various short courses, ISEG seeks in this way, in partnership with the Vodafone Foundation, to make life easier and increase the satisfaction and motivation of students and the entire school body, while also enhancing the technological dimension within the University.
It should be noted that the Vodafone Foundation is a fundamental instrument in the development of the Company's Social Responsibility strategy, paying particular attention to partnerships and projects in the area of Education and aimed at young people, as is the case with this new ISEG App.
