Colégio F3 | Seminar | FOOD: The Human Right to Adequate Food through public purchases from short agri-food chains

With the aim of helping to promote the realization of the Human Right to Adequate Food, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), the ReAlimentar network, the National Rural Network (RRN) and the Food, Farming and Forestry College (F3) of the University of Lisbon are organizing the following day February 7th, the Seminar "AlimentAção: The Human Right to Adequate Food through public purchases from short agri-food chains". The session will take place in the Great Hall of the Rectory of the University of Lisbon.

This event, which is open to the public, will present and discuss good practices and national and international experiences related to governance, public procurement, local production and adequate food consumption, with an emphasis on collective catering from Short Agri-Food Circuits and family farmers.

This seminar will be a space for debate between representatives of the main players involved in decision-making and will contribute to recognizing and aligning national and municipal strategies for food, in interface with political power and in line with global agendas and initiatives.
