On 16 February, at 19.00, the CGD Auditorium at ISEG hosts a concert as part of the Folefest Festival, with Inês Vaz on the accordion and the string quartet Soloists from Camerata Atlântica.
Free admission.
About the concert
The poem “The mirror at the entrance” by Konstandinos Kavafis, suggested a reflective introduction, which paved the way for “Mirror”, Inês Vaz's album with Camerata Atlântica soloists Ana Beatriz Manzanilla (violin), João Vieira de Andrade (violin), Pedro Saglimbeni Muñoz (viola), Jeremy Lake (cello), which is due to be released soon.
This concert, part of the Folefest Festival, is like a preamble to the release of the album, where the entire recorded repertoire, which includes pieces by Dvorak, Paulo Jorge Ferreira and Sergey Akhunov, will be played and interpreted in full.
Just like a mirror, and all that it represents, reflects, gives back, about us, the gaze of the other, the gaze of the world, it will be this musical relationship that is established between an accordion and a string quartet, which will not fail to reflect all its depth of sound in a reciprocal gesture involving the audience.
