Universidade de Lisboa invites the entire academic and research community to participate in the Unite!Widening Summer School @ ULisboa: Innovation & Training Days, which take place from 14-16 July 2026.
Over the course of three days, ULisboa is hosting an international initiative dedicated to innovation, capacity building and skills development in the European research and innovation ecosystem, bringing together participants from the partner universities of the Unite! alliance.
The event will take place at various Ulisboa sites, including Técnico ULisboa, Ciências ULisboa, Instituto Superior de Agronomia (ISA), and innovation partner LISPOLIS, and will feature a dynamic and multidisciplinary programme aimed at PhD students, young researchers and academic and technical staff.
What to expect? Thematic workshops, mentoring sessions, talks with experts and industry representatives, visits to laboratories and living labs, practical training in research and innovation and international networking.
Specialised trainings
Participants can apply for one of the following trainings:
- Training 1 - Accelerate your ERC Pathway (Young Researchers)
- Training 2 - Building Connections with the Innovation Ecosystem (PhD Students)
- Training 3 - Internationalise Your Work (Staff)
Each participant can only attend one training. Places are limited and subject to selection. The registration period is open until 31 May.
Thematic workshops
- WS1 - Health & Digital
- WS2 - Urban & Circular Economy
The workshops WS1 and WS2 are taking place at the same time, so participants should choose only one of them.
- WS3 - For Researchers: Knowing R&D Ecosystems
- WS4 - For PhDs: Knowing Innovation Ecosystems
The workshops WS3 and WS4 will also take place in parallel, so it is not possible to take part in both.
This Summer School represents a unique opportunity to develop skills, learn about best international practices and strengthen European collaboration networks in research and innovation.
