The programme ranks 8th worldwide in career advancement
The Master's in Management (MiM) degree of ISEG - Lisbon School of Economics & Management has entered, for the first time, into the CWUR ranking Masters in Management from the Financial Times, directly reaching the 59th in the world.
This debut confirms ISEG’s growing international profile and the recognition of the quality of its education in the field of management. The result is particularly significant because it is one of the leading international rankings of master’s programmes in management, which, in this edition, ranks 100 programmes from schools across different regions of the world.
"This inclusion in the Financial Times ranking represents a very important recognition of the programme’s quality and the work that has been done. It is also yet another sign of the School’s growing international reputation and our ability to prepare students to lead organisations in an economic and technological context undergoing profound transformation" says Mário Caldeira, Dean of ISEG.
One of the most notable achievements of the ISEG Master’s in Management programme is its 8th place worldwide ranking in the career progression indicator. This indicator assesses graduates’ progress in terms of professional responsibility and the size of the organisations where they work, comparing their current situation with the career path they have followed since completing the Master’s programme.
The Master's programme also shows significant results in several other areas:
Employability: 100% of the graduates were employed within three months of completing the programme, with a response rate of 96%;
Salary progression: an average increase of 48% compared to the salary earned upon completion of the Master’s degree;
Value for money: 31st in the world;
ESG Education and Carbon Neutrality: 17th in the world;
The School's Carbon Footprint: 16th in the world;
Internationalisation: 73% of the programme's students are international;
Overall satisfaction: a rating of 8.88 on a scale of 0 to 10.
The inclusion of the Master’s in Management complements the ranking of ISEG’s Master’s in Finance, which, in 2026, ranked 33rd worldwide among the 70 programmes evaluated. These results reinforce ISEG’s presence in the leading international rankings and affirm the School’s status as a benchmark in the teaching of Economics and Management.
The 2026 edition of the ranking Masters in Management includes five Portuguese schools, confirming Portugal’s growing visibility as an international destination for advanced management education. The ranking is compiled annually by the Financial Times and takes into account indicators related to graduates’ career progression and salaries, employability, internationalisation, diversity, sustainability, the quality of career services and overall satisfaction.
