On 6th and 7th November, ISEG opens its doors for another edition of the ISEG Careers Forum. With more than 70 companies , both Portuguese and multinational, looking for new talent, this is your chance to take a leap in your career and get in touch directly with top recruiters.

A very positive assessment of the ISEG Career Forum 2023

Over two days, ISEG hosted the 25th edition of its largest employability event and the outcome couldn't have been more positive. From the the 8th and 9th November, the ISEG Career Forum was visited by 1,301 students, which generated 7,155 interactions with the more than 100 organisations present at the event.

The Career Forum was an intense two days of contacts, workshops, panels, and presentations with ISEG students making their pitchto the world of employment and organisations, giving them the opportunity to work on their personal marketing and to develop their recruitment skills .

On the first day, 417 students signed up for the Business Breakfast with the Main Sponsors of the event, where they were able to benefit from the advice and experience of their representatives: Caixa Geral de Depósitos, Deloitte, EY, Santander, Jerónimo Martins, KPMG, PwC, BNP Paribas, Essity, Fidelidade and Neyond.

The Careers Fair event was attended by 70 companies and more than 250 recruiters, where, together with many job/internship opportunities, visitors were able to attend various workshops and panels. The Image Workshop in the "Image Hub" area was very well attended, being attended by 80 students.

On the second day, the Talent Ignition session was attended by 312 students, who had the opportunity to present their pitch : 150 professionals. The panels are representative of more than 80 organisations from the most diverse sectors of activity.

Helena Faria, Head of Career Services at ISEG notes the success of yet another edition and the fulfilment of the objectives established: "We have come to the end of yet another Career Forum very satisfied with the number of students who have joined the initiative and taken advantage of the opportunity to have direct and differentiated contact with such relevant companies, explore the job market, identify companies that can be part of their professional goals and increase their network of contacts." she explains.“We've received very positive feedback from the participating companies about the students' potential, which assures us that, along with the excellent academic education that ISEG offers, we are managing to provide them with a simple and constructive approach to the job market."concludes Helena Faria.

25th Edition takes place on the 8th and 9th November

ISEG's biggest employability event will be back on the 8th and 9th November, and already has a record number of national and multinational companies taking part. More than 100 organisations will be present at the event, from the most diverse sectors of activity.

After last year's edition, when about 1,500 students from all of ISEG's study cycles had the opportunity to submit around 6,000 CVs to the main employers, the 25th Edition of the ISEG Career Forum reinforces its importance as the main gateway for students to enter the job market. In 2022 alone, the event led to the recruitment of 250 ISEG students by the 'Big 4'.

"O The main objective of ISEG Career Services is to bring academia and organisations closer together, highlighting ISEG's excellent academic education, as well as the high potential of its students, who are characterised by a unique collaborative spirit." says Helena Faria, Head of Career Services at ISEG. "Entering the job market is a challenging time and, as such, we want students to have the opportunity to experience these moments of closeness in a simple and constructive way“.

The first day of the ISEG Career Forum (on the 8th November), starts with a Business Breakfast with Students. This is the perfect opportunity for students to receive advice on a successful career from some of the most outstanding professionals from the participating companies. The day continues with the Careers Fair, an event that counts with 70 companies*, where students will have the chance to meet their recruiters in person and find out about the job or internship opportunities available.

The second day (the 9th November) is dedicated to the Talent Ignition session. The aim of this initiative is to encourage students to reflect on their careers and develop their personal and employability skills. Around 150 professionals from more than 100 organisations from a wide range of sectors will take part in this dynamic event, when students are invited to make their pitch and share personalised feedback which will be useful for their academic and professional future.

The ISEG - Lisbon School of Economics & Management Talent Bootcamp took place on the 14th and 15th April and they were two magical days!

The cloisters and our Great Hall hosted about 450 people, 233 students/bootcampers, and 216 professionals, all of whom were full of energy and willingness to recruit our talent.

This initiative enabled "bringing the School and the job market closer together", says the head of Career Services, Helena Fariathanking Magma Studio, the bootcampers, the professionals present, the ambassadors, and the ISEG Career Services team for the fantastic event that took place.

On November 16 at 4pm, Career Services and McKinsey are hosting a Meet & Network for students interested in finding out more about the consulting field. Students will have the opportunity to learn more about some McKinsey consultants who will talk about their career, challenges and demands they face in the market.

The session will take place in Auditorium 2 (Quelhas Building).

At the end of the presentation, there will be a coffee break for networking between ISEG students and consultants. At this time, students are invited to ask any questions they may have to professionals in the field.

More than fifty national and multinational companies will be present at ISEG careers forum 2022, the School's largest employability event and the main gateway for students into the job market.

Between October 26 and 27, ISEG's undergraduate, master's and doctoral students, Lisbon School of Economics & Management, will have the opportunity to directly contact top decision-makers and human resources professionals from companies in various sectors of our economy, from finance and retail to technology, services, energy and aviation. In all, 56 companies will be present at this event, with hundreds of opportunities.  

In the year 2021, ISEG students had access, through the Careers ServicesThe company's job and internship offers were sent to 38,489 national and international companies, which resulted in an employment rate of 961 PT3T. 

These offers resulted from the disclosures made through the career platforms and the 71 events held with companies, including the main employability event, the careers forumwhich this year returns for another edition (24th).

ISEG continues to boost contact points between students and recruiters with several events throughout the year. O careers forum is the most important of them all, because of the diversity of companies and the multiplicity of jobs available. At In a more informal and sharing environment, the companies reveal potential job and internship opportunities, adjusted to the profiles of undergraduate and master's degree students in the areas of Economics, Management, Mathematics Applied to Economics, and Management and Finance.

"In the end, our major goal is to promote interaction between companies and students, to enhance the excellent training that ISEG offers, showing companies that we have people with very solid technical knowledge, gifted with an unusual team spirit, who will become valuable assets to organizations. Expectations couldn't be better," adds Helena Faria, responsible for the Careers Services of ISEG, reminding that "this is also a test to everything that our students have been learning with our Career Consultants".
