ISEG has just won an award in the international Case Studies competition promoted by the prestigious The Case Centre. The " Outstanding new case writers" was given to Professors José Azevedo Pereira and João Marques Silva, for their case Strategic Actions in Challenging Times about the José de Mello Group and Brisa.
The Case Center's Awards distinguish, every year, the most impactful Case Studies from authors and professors around the world. The 29th edition of this prestigious competition awarded for the first time ISEG, the only School in Portugal to have been distinguished.
Clara Raposo, dean of ISEG, comments: " ISEG as a business school is increasingly recognized internationally - not only for its high standards of teaching and research, but also for its connection to the reality of the business environment. This award from the prestigious Case Centre is a unique distinction that we are very proud of and which I feel is very well deserved, as it represents the corollary of the hard work behind the new focus we are giving to producing high-quality case studies on companies and managers operating in Portugal and around the world. It is part of our DNA to innovate in teaching and research, including applied research such as these case studies. It's important to see a school like ISEG recognized in these international awards, alongside institutions like Oxford, Columbia, Stanford, Harvard, INSEAD or IMD Universities. A source of pride for ISEG and for Portugal."
The Case Centre is dedicated to the development of the case method and has more than 500 members worldwide.
