These awards, instituted by ULisboa in collaboration with Caixa Geral de Depósitos, aim to reward scientific research activity and encourage the practice of publishing in international journals of recognized quality.

On October 6th, the University of Lisbon will receive you in a party! On this day, ULisboa welcomes the incoming 1st year students and all international students at Alameda da Universidade, in Cidade Universitária.
Karetus, DJ João Cruz with Otis Sax, and DJ Goulart are part of the Sunset Party starting at 18h. During the day, at the Alameda you can count on sports activities, delivery of the welcome kit and the Solemn Session for the Opening of the Academic Year 2022/2023 in the Aula Magna.
To pick up your welcome kit on October 6th, between 11am and 5:30pm at the venue, you should get your voucher from your school's Student Association.
Once again, Portugal was represented at the Pavilion Study & Research in Portugal, on NAFSA 2022 Annual Expo & Exhibition - "Building our Sustainable Futurewhich this year took place in Denver, Colorado.
In the pavilion Study & Research in Portugal More than 50 representatives from 22 Portuguese higher education institutions participated.
Part of the initiative USA-Portugal Campusin a joint organization of Fulbright Commission Portugal, from Erasmus+ National Agency team and Luso-American FoundationIt aimed to support national efforts to internationalize and promote higher education and research in the US, bringing the two countries closer together in terms of academic mobility and giving greater visibility to Portugal as a destination country for US students.
To achieve this goal, a large delegation of Portuguese higher education institutions, headed by the Secretary of State for Internationalization, Dr. Bernardo Ivo Cruz, and in coordination with the Consul General of Portugal in San Francisco, visited San Francisco and the universities of StanfordUC Berkeley, and Santa Clara, in the State of California. The visits aimed to support national efforts to internationalize and promote higher education and research in the US and included meetings of networkingpanel discussions, and guided tours.
ULisboa was represented by the Vice-Rector, Professor Peixoto and the Director of External and International Relations, Dr. Isabel França; the Coordinator of International Affairs of Instituto Superior Técnico, Dr. Denise Matos Moura; the Coordinator of the External and International Relations Division of the Faculty of Arts, Dr. Eduarda Camilo and the Head of Division of Academic Services, Dr. Rita Jordão.
Integrated in the cultural program "Music at Universidade de Lisboa"The Aula Magna will host a Piano Cycle with a recital celebrating the 50-year career of Jorge Moyano and recitals by António Rosado and Artur Pizarro.
This cycle is dedicated to the ULisboa community and open to the whole society.

Aware of the importance of promoting the development of competencies that are determinant for the academic success of ULisboa students, and especially taking into account the peculiar situation we live in and the constraints it imposes on us, the Rectory of ULisboa in partnership with teachers from the Faculty of Psychology and the Institute of Education promotes a set of online workshops addressed to all students.
All workshops are taught in Portuguese.
