This academic year (2024/2025), ISEG launched a new non-academic training program for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). The Program Different Minds. Inclusive Academy aims to contribute to the inclusion of people with IDD in higher education and their integration into the job market, as well as raising awareness among ISEG students, as future professionals, of the importance of including these people in society.
This is an unprecedented opportunity at ULisboa, a university that has always been committed to inclusion. If you are a person with IDD and have the ambition to enter ISEG, check out all the information here.
Join us and be part of this change!
As well as being a unique opportunity for people with IDD, this project is also an opportunity for the entire ISEG community at different levels:
Pedagogical
Improving the quality of teaching
Social
Creation of friendly relations between students with and without IDD, greater appreciation and tolerance for diversity and a change in the view of the abilities of people with IDD
Societal
Change in long-term inclusion processes
Different Buddy
Different Buddies are students who, in addition to being available to help and support students with IDD, have the role of facilitating their integration. These students will receive the Certificate and 1 credit.
It's important to say that this project has had the support of the entire ISEG community, from the Presidency to the Secretariat, including teachers and students, after all:
Different Minds. Inclusive Academy will only succeed with the involvement of the entire ISEGuiana community
