The Dryads Duo was created with the main objective of approaching the existing repertoire for duo from the end of the 19th century to the present day, with the concern of presenting works not so well known, but no less deserving, and a special interest in interpreting contemporary works by young composers. In September 2012, the duo premiered, at Casa da Música, the work On a Quiet Place, for violin, piano and electronics in real time, by Igor C. Silva, young composer in residence at Casa da Música, 2012. In the same month he released his first CD, in a recital at the Young Musicians Festival 2012, of the Gulbenkian Foundation. Outside Portugal, the duo has concerts scheduled in Brighton and in the church of St. Martin in the Fields, in London.
