On September 9, 2026, ISEG is hosting the conference “PISA, 25 Years: What Has Changed in Education?”, an initiative marking the 25th anniversary of the OECD's Program for International Student Assessment (PISA).
Held shortly after the release of the new PISA 2025 results, the meeting will bring together researchers, national and international experts, and education officials to analyze the evolution of the Portuguese education system over the past few decades, discuss the main achievements, and reflect on the challenges that remain.
The morning session will feature presentations on the PISA framework, an analysis of Portugal’s results, and the study’s impact on education policy, culminating in a roundtable discussion with experts from national and international institutions.
This afternoon, there will be a Scientific Seminar, which focuses on the statistical methods used in the PISA surveys and is intended for the academic community and anyone interested in research on educational assessment.
