The PME Connect program, promoted by the Portuguese Industrial Association (AIP) with the support of Deloitte, will be presented this Wednesday, May 23, in the AIP Presidents' Room.
This innovative program is co-financed by COMPETE2020 and aims to support more effective internationalization of Portuguese SMEs by supporting large Strongly Internationalized Groups (GFI).
The PME Connect program currently has more than 50 SMEs involved in five thematic "activation labs", i.e. working sessions with, respectively, five GFI: EDP (energy), SONAE (retail), Mota-Engil (construction), Tekever (IT & Defense) and Pestana (Tourism).
The SMEs involved in this program will benefit from the experience, knowledge transfer and technical and management training provided by the GFI, as well as institutional networking to promote more effective internationalization strategies. It is worth highlighting the fact that this program has an Advisory Board where the Order of Economists, the House of Latin America, AICEP, IAPMEI, COTEC, Católica-Lisbon, the Higher Institute of Economics and Management (ISEG) are represented, in addition to AIP itself, Deloitte and the five GFI.
The session starts at 8.30 a.m. and will be attended by the Minister for the Economy, Dr. Manuel Caldeira Cabral.
