It was announced on October 12th that Nobel Prize for Economics 2020 attributed to Paul Milgrom , and Robert WilsonFor his contributions to Auction Theory, which helped to understand the formation of prices in the sale of goods and services through auctions, and gave rise to the proposal of new auction formats capable of maximizing the benefits for buyers, sellers, taxpayers and society as a whole.

ISEG promotes an analysis and debate of this award and its impact on the economy on October 19th, from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.(Auditorium 3, Ed. Quelhas, 2nd floor).


The teacher Joana Pais, a recognized expert in auctions, receives, together with Professor Vitor SantosDean of the Department of Economics at ISEG, the Assistant Secretary of State for Energy, Dr. João Galambafor a debate.
