Speaker: Dr. Henrique Moura, XPM Consulting
As project managers, we often have an ambiguous attitude towards projects with problems. On the one hand, these projects are demanding on a personal level, with unmet expectations, pressure, conflict and a lot of work. On the other hand, these projects require us to practice the best of project management: setting direction, prioritizing problems, bringing people together around a common vision, negotiating objectives and solving problems. This seminar suggests an approach to identifying and managing projects in difficulty, with confidence and control. The approach includes negotiating and stabilizing project objectives until they prove to be systematically acceptable and feasible. The approach also includes identifying and solving problems along the dimensions of people, processes and product. |
