This workshop, organized by ISEG's Pedagogical Observatory, aims to present the Flipped learning method.
Fipped learning is a pedagogical method in the area of active learning where theoretical subject matter is learned by students before lectures (typically through the viewing of videos nowadays) in order that lecture time can be better used, for example for questions, individual exercises, group projects, formative and summative assessments, etc.
The speaker will be Miguel Mira da Silva, a Full Professor of Information Systems at Instituto Superior Técnico, who is responsible for the "Digital Transformation" research unit at INOV INESC Inovação, a coordinator of the (online) Masters in Information and Enterprise Systems, Vice-chairman of the Computer Engineering Department, and a member of the Executive Committee of Técnico+ that coordinates all the advanced training at Técnico.
