WORKSHOP | Internationalization and establishing partnerships in the arts

Registration is now open for the International Workshop on "Internationalization and establishing partnerships in the arts" with Yvette Vaughan Jones. This initiative is organized by the Directorate-General for the Arts in partnership with the São João National Theatre and the Instituto Superior de Economia e Gestão.

The workshop takes place on October 7th in Porto (Mosteiro de São Bento da Vitória) and on October 9th in Lisbon (ISEG), from 10h00 to 17h00.

OBJECTIVES
Aware of the challenges faced by cultural agents in managing their activities, DGArtes aims to support and encourage the professional development and training of agents in the arts sector in Portugal. In this context, an invitation was sent to Yvette Vaughan Jones, an international reference in the field of internationalization of the arts, with a 30-year career as an artistic producer and programmer. In this area, she also works as a political analyst. Yvette Vaughan Jones has worked in Morocco, Brussels and London, and has led projects in dozens of countries.

The aim of this workshop is to provide useful information on the practical and conceptual components of the internationalization of the arts as a whole, emphasizing the importance of developing partnerships in different contexts. Thus, the workshop will have expository moments in which concrete information on ways to internationalize artistic works will be presented, but exercises will also be carried out using techniques for establishing partnerships, promoting dialogue and interaction between participants.

DESTINATORS
This workshop is aimed at artists, producers, cultural agents, students in the fields of culture and the arts, as well as anyone interested in the themes of internationalization and establishing partnerships.
