WORKSHOP "Mobility of Researchers and Circulation of Knowledge"

30 Apr from 14:00 to 18:00
Quelhas Building, BES room

The mobility of researchers has aroused interest among both academics and science policymakers. After the more pessimistic analyses of the 1970s, mobility has been seen in terms of its benefits for science and the economy in general.

It is today one of the fundamental pillars of the development of the European Research Area, and yet there are several issues to be explored.
Which researchers are the most mobile? Who are they? By
how long and how do they do it? How do you combine your research life with mobility?

The meeting will have the following objectives:
- to open up dialogue and reflection on scientific mobility to heads of universities and scientific institutions in Portugal;
- present and discuss the latest analysis methodologies;
- stimulate the theme as an area of research among junior and senior researchers.
