João Estevão

Biografia

João Estevão holds a master’s degree in finance, and PhD in Management from the Universidade de Lisboa. João PhD research on “The effects of the 2030 Climate and Energy Framework Agreement on the energy sector” took place at Universidade de Lisboa and University of Salamanca (2016-2022).

João is an invited Assistant Professor in Finance at the Management Department of ISEG (Lisbon School of Economics & Management, ULisboa, Portugal). Professor Estevão's research interests are related to Energy markets, the Paris Agreement, Entrepreneurship, Doing business, Informal economy, Tourism and Accounting. He is proficient in research methods such as panel data, FsQCA, time series and bibliometric analysis.

João Estevão's work is published in top Scopus-indexed outlets, like the Journal of Cleaner Production, Technological Forecasting and Social Change, Journal of Business Research, International Journal of Hospitality Management, Economic Research-Ekonomska Istrazivanja, Journal of Risk and Financial Management, International Journal of Energy Economics and Policy and Contemporary Economics.

João Estevão has presented his research in prestigious international conferences, and he acts as a reviewer for international conferences and Scopus-indexed journals.

João Estevão has been the Chief Science Officer at ADVANCE, ISEG's research center in Management, since 2011. He is responsible for submitting applications and managing multiple research projects. João Estevão is a Certified accountant and Certified real estate appraiser.
