João Carvalho das Neves - Full Professor

Photo Prof. João Carvalho das NevesHe has a PhD from Manchester Business School and is a certified coach by the ECA - European Coaching Association. A graduate of the International Teacher's Program, he has attended several international courses, including Star Edge Avatar, Leadership at Kennedy Harvard Government School, Management Control at HEC Paris, Finance at IMD Lausanne, International Finance at INSEAD Fontainbleau, Risk Management at Stern New York University and Bank Management at the International Banking Centre at Manchester Business School.

He has extensive experience of executive training at international level, including Copenhagen Business School, Warsaw Banking Institute, Poznan-Wielkopolska Business School, Fundação Dom Cabral, Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais, HEC School of Management Paris, EM Lyon, Roffey Park Management Institute, UNISYS International Management Center, Companhia de Electricidade de Macau and Angola.

Management consultancy experience in various companies, such as Actel, Altitude Software, BICC Celcat - General Cable, CCFSE European Social Fund Coordination Commission, Caixa Geral de Depósitos, Cork-Supply, CPR Companhia Portuguesa de Rating, Espírito Santo Investments and Benito e Monjardín (Portugal and Spain), Dagard Ibérica, Carsul, Cimpor, Copidata, Edinfor, EDS (Portugal), ex-ICP Instituto das Comunicações de Portugal, IGFSS Instituto de Gestão Financeira da Segurança Social, Filmes Castello Lopes, Heska, Minas e Metalurgia, Multicert, PME Investimentos, REN, SCI Corporation (UK and Portugal), Secil, SIBS, SIBS Processos, Sociedade de Desenvolvimento de Porto Santo, Unicre and other smaller companies.

He was a director of Banco Português de Negócios (2008) and Sociedade Lusa de Negócios (2008-2009), judicial manager (1993-1998), namely at TVI, Torralta and Casino Hotel de Tróia, Associate Director at Coopers & Lybrand (1992-1993), Director and trainer at IPE/CIFAG (1985-1992) and Assistant Director of Management Control at Cometna (1981-1985).
