Age-Friendly University Global Network is an association of higher education institutions committed to promoting positive and healthy ageing and to improving the lives of older members of the global community through innovative educational programmes, research agendas, curriculum development, online education, health and wellness activities, arts, culture, and civic engagement opportunities.

Included in ISEG's Talent Bootcamp is a talk on 'Lessons Learned' , with the participation of Ana Figueiredo (CEO of Altice and an ISEG alumna), Madalena Tome (CEO of Sibs and an ISEG alumna), and Paulo Macedo (CEO of CGD and an ISEG alumnus and professor).

Lecture | The Digitalisation of Financial Services: Opportunities and Risks

On the 4th April, Professor Vìctor Mendes, an Advisor to the Board of Directors of CMVM, will be at ISEG to address the topic of "The Digitalisation of Financial Services“.

Victor Mendes has a degree in Economics from the School of Economics of Universidade do Porto, a PhD in Economics from the University of South Carolina (USA), and an Aggregate Degree from the School of Economics of Universidade do Porto. Before joining the CMVM in 2000, Victor was an Associate Professor of Economics at the School of Economics of Universidade do Porto. As part of his role, he represented the CMVM on various national committees, as well as ESMA, ESRB and IOSCO. His main research interests are Financial Economics, Behavioural Finance, and Corporate Governance. He has published in journals such as Journal of Banking and Finance, Journal of Economic Psychology, Corporate Governance: An International Review, Applied Economics, European Journal of Finance, Applied Financial Economics, Quantitative Finance, Research in International Business and Finance, Portuguese Economic Journal, amongst others.

The event , which is organised as part of the Degree in Economics, is open to all members of the ISEG community and will take place from 10.00 to 12.00 in Lecture Theatre 3 (Francesinhas).

My Financial Future | Workshop to launch the personal finance competition

The launch of this initiative and the signing of the partnership agreement will take place in the ISEG (Auditorium 4 Novo Quelhas), on the 21st March, at 15.00.

The Governor of the Bank of Portugal, Mario Centeno, will open the event, follow by the Chair of the CFA Society Portugal, Marcos Soares Ribeiro, from CFA and Professor João Duque, the Dean of ISEG.  

Later, there will be a workshop on savings and credit, with the participation of Pedro Barata, the Executive Director of the CFA Society Portugal, Susana Narciso, Head of Division of the Behavioural Supervision Department of the Bank of Portugal and Professor Victor Barros, also from CFA and an Associate Professor at ISEG.
