As part of the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the Case Study Method, FAE - Fórum de Administradores e Gestores de Empresas (Forum of Business Administrators and Managers) has invited a group of prestigious speakers to debate this important event at ISEG, in a discussion which will be moderated by Professor Luís Cabral, from Columbia, NY.
The guest speakers are Diogo Lucena (NovaSBE), Pedro Santa Clara (Lisbon 42), Inês Pinto (ISEG) and Nuno Fernandes (IESE).
The celebration of 100 years of Case Studies coincides with the celebration of 10 years of the Case Study Award, which was implemented in Portugal on the initiative of the FAE.
The debate will take place in ISEG's Auditorium 2, on the 8th November, from 17:30 to 20:00.

On the 8th November, with the support of CEsA – Centre for African and Development Studiesand talk , ISEG will host a talk on "Less Than 1%", an initiative which is an integral part of the Entrepreneurship course unit.
The keynote speaker, Fernando Cabral, Managing Partner & Chief Venture Officer from Djassi Africa, will present Djassi Africa's approach and framework for increasing diversity and equity in innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystems.
Djassi Africa operates mainly in Africa, with a special focus on the PALOP countries, and in Europe, with an agenda of diversity and equity for innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystems.
Professor Eduardo Morais Sarmento, Chair of CEsA and Coordinator of the Masters in Development and International Cooperation from ISEG, will give a short talk on the main topic, based on his vast professional experience in projects in Angola, Mozambique and Cape Verde.
After the speakers' talks there will be a time for Q&A and sharing experiences.
This initiative is open to the wider community.

Small Steps to Sustainable Fashion Consumption is the motto for the round table discussion on fashion and conscious consumption will be held on the 25th October, from 17.00 to 18.00, in the Student Association's lounge (Kasino).
Two short documentaries will be shown during the event: Made in Cambodia (9 minutes) and The deadly cost of fashion (5 minutes), commented by Carolina Carreira, from Oficina Global.

The event is organised by Oficina Global, an initiative comprising researchers from CEsA (ISEG's Centre for African and Development Studies) and faculty from ISEG's Masters in Development and International Cooperation.

The ISEG Sustainability Week 2023 starts with a talk on "Can temperature lead to lower GDP? How can climate finance avoid a future global recession?", with Sofia Santos, who is a professor from ISEG Executive Education and an ESG Analyst certified by the European Federation of Financial Analysts.
The talk will take place on the 23rd October, from 14.00 to 15.00, in Lecture theatre 21 (Francesinhas 1).

This edition will feature activities on topics such as sustainable finance, social entrepreneurship and conscious consumption patterns. There will also be a workshop on ISEG's mini urban forest, a photographic exhibition of the Agora Risk project in the Library atrium and training on the carbon market with Carbon Literacy.
