The Closing Session of the Cinema and Decolonization: Mozambique In Focus Cycle will take place on the 15th July at ISEG, at 10.00, in Auditorium 2. The following three documentaries by director Lara Sousa will be screened: "O Fim" (Lara Sousa, 2018, Documentary, 17 min, Portuguese), "Kalunga" (Lara Sousa, 2018, Documentary, 22 min, Portuguese), and "La Finca del Medo" (Lara Sousa, 2017, Documentary, 15 min, Portuguese).
The films will be screened with free entrance. This will be followed by a debate with Ana Balona de Oliveira, researcher at the Art History Institute of FCSH NOVA and curator of the film.

The value of art is the title of the next CSG Science-coffee, which takes place on 29th Juneat 16.00, on ISEG's Rooftop Terrace.
The event is associated with the finissage of the exhibition Change of Agreement, which is also open in the Cloisters of the Convento das Inglesinhas until the 29th June, under the motto The value of art, which aims to promotes an edition of Café-Ciência that will bring together the researchers Jessica Falconi (CEsA/CSG) e and Sandra Faustino (SOCIUS/CSG), ISEG professor and researcher Manuel Laranja (ADVANCE/CSG), the curator and researcher José Carlos Pereira (CIEBA/FBAUL) and the artists Pedro Cabrita Reis and Filipe Romão, for a reflection on the role of the work of art and its values - aesthetic, anthropological, hermeneutic, economic, among others - in contemporary society.
The debate will be moderated by the journalist and director of Antena 1 João Almeida.
The session has free admission and will also include the presence of teh Dean of ISEG, Professor João Duqueand the Vice-Dean, Professor José Veríssimo.
The exhibition Change of Agreementwhich is supported by CIEBA - Center for Research and Studies in Fine Arts and the CSG - Social Sciences and Management Research at ISEGis a project of the Cultural Commission of ISEG and FBAUL, and was developed within the scope of ISEG's 111th anniversary, and is curated by José Carlos Pereira (CIEBA/ FBAUL) and works by the artists Pedro Saraiva, Pedro Cabrita Reis, Francisco Queirós, João Onofre and Filipe Romão.

The event will take place within the scope of CSG's Labour and Employment Research Group, with the support of ISEG's Career Services.
The ISEG - Lisbon School of Economics & Management hosts for the first time, on June 23rd and 24th, the Lisbon Summit 2023 of Hult Prize. This is a global social entrepreneurship competition that seeks to support the projects of young university entrepreneurs whose innovative solutions can have a significant and positive impact on society. ISEG will host 47 startups, 200 university students from 28 countries from all continents, and 43 different universities, who will compete for one of the six places in the Hult Prize Annual Finals, to be held in Paris, France, in September.
The Hult Prize is an international foundation that inspires and promotes different programmes that challenge student entrepreneurs to solve the world's biggest challenges through social entrepreneurship and positive global impact. Since its inception, the competition has impacted over one million college students from over 100 countries around the world. This year, more than 100,000 college students got involved, creating high-impact startups that address the annual challenge (this year, sustainable fashion) aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals

Throughout the competition process, teams go through several stages, including regional events and semifinals in different parts of the world. After these events, the 20 selected teams will participate in the next phase of the program, the Hult Prize Accelerator Program, where they will be mentored by several experts and will turn their ideas into investment-ready business models.
The Hult Prize 2023 grand final will be held in Paris, where the finalist teams have the opportunity to present their projects to a panel of judges, composed of leaders from the business sector, social entrepreneurship, and influential figures from the global community. The winner receives a cash prize ($1 million) to help turn the idea into a successful and sustainable project.
The 2022 Global Finals took place at the Clinton Global Initiative Annual Meeting in New York City, with Bill Clinton himself presenting the award.

On June 17th, at 10.00, CEsA will screen the documentary entitled "We dreamed a country" (Camilo de Sousa and Isabel Noronha, 2019, Documentary, 70 min), as part of the Film and Decolonization: Mozambique in Focus Cycle .
The screening will take place in Auditorium 2 of Quelhas, with free admission. It will be followed by a debate with the poet and journalist Luís Carlos Patraquim and with CES/UC researcher and historical consultant for the film Maria Paula Meneses.
