ISEG Lisbon School of Economics & Management has once again been recognised as a Transforming School, again achieving Level 4 (out of 5 possible) of Positive Impact Rating (PIR), an international evaluation of the social and environmental impact of business schools, conducted by the students themselves.
After achieving this status for the first time in 2023, ISEG has once again risen to Level 4 in the 2025 edition, confirming its ongoing commitment to having a positive impact on society. This international distinction places ISEG alongside other schools with a global reputation such as ESADE (Spain), Imperial College Business School (UK) and Kozminski University (Poland).
The PIR is conducted by students for students, evaluating schools on the basis of seven impact criteria grouped into three key areas: Energizing, Educating and Engaging. In the case of ISEG, students actively participated by answering a detailed survey, with the support of the Students' Association.
"This result is another clear sign that ISEG is on the right track. The return to Level 4 shows that we are listening to our students and are evolving with them. We want to educate conscious professionals and citizens who are committed to the future of the planet and their communities," says Winnie Picoto, Vice-Dean of ISEG, with responsibility for Sustainability.
The PIR is produced by Positive Impact Rating Association (PIRA), a non-profit organisation that seeks to promote a new generation of business schools committed to sustainable development, the common good and the transformation of society through education.
