On 5th June, from 2pm, there will be a face-to-face presentation of the PhD in Population Sciences. The session takes place in CTT Room, 3rd floor of the Quelhas Building (ISEG).
Four schools at the University of Lisbon (ULisboa), Instituto Superior de Ciências Sociais e Políticas (ISCSP), Instituto de Ciências Sociais (ICS), Instituto de Geografia e Ordenamento do Território (IGOT) and Instituto Superior de Economia e Gestão (ISEG), have come together to offer a unique PhD programme on Population Sciences, starting in the academic year 2023/24. One of the key features of this programme is its interdisciplinarity, using mainly quantitative methods to study population issues, and its close connection to leading institutions thanks to the partnerships of the University of Lisbon.
The PhD in Population Sciences is a 4-year PhD programme designed for committed students and professionals from all backgrounds. Coming from a background in the Social Sciences, Health Sciences or Statistics, for example, you will receive solid training in demography and benefit from the international research environment. The programme, which is taught in English, will prepare you for top-level research in academic and non-academic environments.

On 29 Maya presentation session will be held at ISEG at 10.00 about the Urban Data Laboratory (Lx Data Lab), an initiative of the Lisbon Municipal Council, with which ISEG has formed a partnership.
The Lisbon Urban Data Lab (Lx Data Lab) was created in response to the need to extract value from the readily-available municipal the information, using advanced data analysis tools and specialised human resources, with the object to create analytical solutions for improving planning, resilience, security, mobility, and both operational and emergency management in the city of Lisbon. This project involves the municipality and academia, as well as the innovative ecosystem.
The event will take place in Lecture Theatre 1 (Quelhas, Floor 4).

The May session of the Cinema and Decolonization: Mozambique in focus series will take place on the 6th May 6, at 10.00, in ISEG's Auditorium 2, and will be dedicated to the screening of the documentary "Ngwenya, the crocodile (Isabel Noronha, 2007, Documentary, 90 min, Portuguese).
This will be followed by a debate with Ana Mafalda Leite, a CEsA researcher, and with Camilo de Sousa, a filmmaker, photojournalist, and producer.

The showings take place once a month.

"Data Governance"is the topic of the next session of the IT & Management Talks. The keynote speaker is Mario Romão, who is a professor in the area of Information Systems and Operations Management at ISEG.
This talk will take place on the 26th April, at 17.00, in the Delta room. Free admission.
The IT & Management Talks are a set of conferences dedicated to the scientific area of Information Systems and Operations Management and are integrated in the syllabus of the PhD in Management .
On May 8, 9 and 15, ISEG is organizing a series of events related to entrepreneurship, within the scope of the curricular units of Entrepreneurship and Entrepeneurial Finance, which is open to all students, with prior registration.
