The meeting is presented by Professor Xavier Font (University of Surrey), moderated by Ana Rita Sampaio, researcher at the University of Surrey. SOCIUS - Research Centre for Economic and Organizational Sociology .

Cycle Date: November 25th, 26th and 27th
Cycle Timetable: 9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Target audience: union officials and leaders, managers, occupational safety and health technicians, workers' representatives in the field of occupational safety and health (OSH), the general public.
ISEG and the Authority for Working Conditions are organizing a Thematic Cycle on Health and Safety at Work, entitled "Psychosocial Risks and Labour Rights", to be held on November 25, 26 and 27 at ISEG (Amphitheaters 3 and 4, Quelhas Building, 4th floor).
This 3-day cycle covers various topics related to health at work and aims to contribute to the development of a culture of prevention, with special emphasis on psychosocial risks and inherent employment rights, by disseminating scientific and technical information and good organizational practices in this area. Promoting a culture of prevention involves adopting practices that contribute to preventing and controlling risks at all levels, creating a general awareness of safety among workers and employers and establishing an organizational framework that can guarantee increasingly high levels of health and safety in the workplace.
This cycle consists of three modules:
The price of the cycle is 330 euros, and you can also register for each module individually (1st module=130 euros, 2nd module= 130 euros, 3rd module= 130 euros).
Given the integrative nature of the course, it is recommended that you attend all the modules. VAT is added to these prices. The price includes lunch and parking for the 3 days of the course.

The thematic cycle will be taught by Prof. António Garcia Pereira (ISEG), Ana Teresa Verdasca (Trainer and Researcher at Socius / ISEG), Maria Antónia Frasquilho (Psychiatrist and Occupational Physician - Alterstatus Clinic), Prof. Hernâni Veloso Neto (Faculty of Letters of the University of Porto) and Manuel Roxo (Authority for Working Conditions - ACT).

On November 6th, ISEG will host the Need for System Change" lectureHe also spoke about the need for a change in the system - a vision for a sustainable future, based on economic democracy, regional self-sufficiency and the ethical distribution of resources.
The speaker, Dada KrsnasevanandaAn activist monk, he introduced an alternative social and economic theory called "PROUT" (Progressive Utilization Theory).
The session, which starts at 7.30 p.m. on the Esplanade of Novo Quelhas, is organized by Ananda Marga, a non-profit organization that seeks to help find balance through the practice of meditation, yoga postures and a healthy diet, among other practices.
This spiritual and social service organization was founded in 1955 in India by the great mystic and yogi, Shrii Shrii Anandamurti, also known as P. R. Sarkar.
Today, the organization is spread all over the world and its teachers teach the practice of meditation free of charge.
Ananda Marga teaches meditation, yoga and yoga philosophy and lifestyle. It is also active in social service, education, natural disaster and calamity relief, public health, sustainable community development, book publishing, cooperatives and music and the arts.

On 31st OctoberISEG receives Ambassador Mário Godinho de Matos, as part of a lecture about "The Process of Creating the Macau Special Administrative Region“.
Between 2004 and 2017, Mário Godinho de Matos was successively Portuguese Ambassador to Havana, Maputo and Moscow. Since 2017, he has been President of the International Commission on Luso-Spanish Boundaries and Watersheds (CHILB). He graduated in Economics from ISEG in 1974.
The session starts at 6pm in Auditorium 2 (Ed. Quelhas, 2nd floor).
This lecture is organized within the framework of the Master's Degree in Development and International Cooperation , delivered in Economia Internacional e Estudos Europeus .

Next day October 30th, when ISEG is hosting the presentation of the Hire Me Pitch App, uan application that reinvents recruitment processes, presenting a simplified search, based on hashtagswith delivery of user pitches to companies, rather than just a CV.
The aim is to make the recruitment process simpler and more focused on the current context, where the vast majority of candidates are already digital natives. For this reason, the application allows direct contact between companies and candidates.
The app is free to download and is now available for IOS and Android.
The app will be presented at ISEG by Ricardo Fortes da Costa, Managing Partner of SDO Consulting, at 16.00, in Auditorium 3 (Ed. Quelhas, 2nd floor).
