Sustainable Finance Week

Sustainable Finance Week will be a two-day hybrid event with the participation of British and Portuguese high-level speakers as a pre-launch to the Third edition of the Sustainable Finance Executive course. This event will take place at ISEG, on the 29th and 30th of March.


There will be three panel sessions, each devoted to one specific topic:

  1. Public Policy: accelerating the sustainable finance agenda;
  2. Education: The skills and tools needed to mainstream sustainable finance;
  3. Private Sector practices: ESG regulation compliance and market expectations and trends.

Seminar | Climate Change, Sustainability and Intergenerational Fairness: from Wales to Portugal

On march 23The seminar will be held at ISEG "Climate Change, Sustainability and Intergenerational Fairness: from Wales to Portugal", at 16h00 (Novo Banco Amphitheater).

This seminar is organized by the Institute of Public Policy, in partnership with SOIF (School of International Futures) and TippingUp,

The event will feature keynote speaker Jane Davidson, Former Minister for Environment, Sustainability and Housing in Wales, who proposed the Well-being of Future Generations (Wales) Act adopted in 2015 - the world's first legislation to put regenerative and sustainable practice at the heart of government. The act proposed by Jane Davidson is unique in both scope and vision, as it links environmental and social health and seeks to tackle complex issues such as poverty, education and unemployment. Jane Davidson was also responsible for implementing the first plastic bag charge in the UK, and for passing legislation in the area of recycling, the positive effects of which have placed Wales as the third most recycling country in the world.

During her time as minister, Jane also set up a Climate Change Commission for Wales, the post of Sustainable Futures Commissioner and the Wales Coast Path.
