ISEG and the Center for Studies on Africa and Development (CEsA/CSG/ISEG/ULisboa) invite you to the Development Studies Seminars 2022 | Development Studies Seminars 2022which take place from March 10 to May 5, 2022, always on Thursdays, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m..
The eight meetings will take place in a hybrid format (face-to-face and online) and will be open to the public:
- in person (ISEG, Amphitheater 23, Ed. Francesinhas 1);

These seminars have been organized since 1991 and promote the research conducted in the study areas of the Master's Degree in Development and International Cooperation (MDCI) and the Doctoral Program in Development Studies (PDED).

On March 11th and 12th The Economists' Association Conference on Portugal: Growth target. The conference will take place at the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation and will be attended by several ISEG professors, including Clara Raposo (President of ISEG), António Mendonça (Professor at ISEG and President of the Order of Economists), Mário Centeno (Professor at ISEG and Governor of the Bank of Portugal), Paulo Macedo (Professor at ISEG and CEO of CGD), Joaquim Miranda Sarmento and Rosa Borges.
The President of the Republic will also speak at the opening ceremony, and the Prime Minister is also scheduled to take part in the closing ceremony, subject to confirmation depending on his European commitments.

Silvia Lopez Herrero is a Professor at NOVA SBE and a member of the Leadership for Impact Center. Holder of a PhD in Complexity Theory and Sustainability from the London School of Economics (2014), she has 10 years of professional experience in the field of social entrepreneurship in three continents. She has been elected a fellow of several international organizations for her entrepreneurial work and has published several works.
