From May 16th to 25thThe 23rd edition of FATAL features 15 shows in three categories: in COMPETITION, MORE FATAL and FATAL INVITES. The Festival also features OTHER SCENES and FATAL KIDS with activities for the whole family, workshops and a conference-performance.
In the year in which the country celebrates 50 years of freedom and democracy, FATAL takes to the stage for the 23rd time. It's been 23 years of restless resistance, boundless creativity and, above all, freedom.
The new edition of the Festival pays tribute to the Teatro Universitário do Porto - TUP group, for its 75 years of uninterrupted activity. An existence that has embraced modernity through initiatives that go far beyond the annual theater initiation course, being an example of resistance, constant reinvention and connection to the present.
FATAL is once again taking place at the University and in the city, in various auditoriums and venues in Lisbon. Come and celebrate with us!

This meeting was attended by the Chair of the Council, Gilberto Jordan (Associate Visiting Professor at ISEG), and four of the members, Anne Giviskos (formerly Chief Risk and Compliance Officer at Euronext), Colin Mayer (former Dean of Saïd Business School, University of Oxford), Eugenia Bieto (former Director of ESADE, Ramon Llull University), and William Kistler (Founder and Managing Partner of urbanOvation).
The meeting was held on Friday, April 12, and started with a strategic discussion regarding the most critical issues currently affecting the School's progress, namely: the new vision, governance, degree offer, internationalisation, and executive training, among others. Four parallel meetings were held during the afternoon on four different topics: teaching; research; career services, alumni and executive training; and marketing and communication. The following morning, the members of the Council presented their feedback and left a set of very valuable recommendations and perspectives for the School's leadership to put into practice.
The next annual meeting of the International Advisory Council has been scheduled for the 16th and 17th May, 2025, with a similar agenda to this year.

At the moment, 13 of ISEG's degrees are represented in this ranking, together with the MBA and the Postgraduation in Real Estate Management and Valuation.
This year's highlights include the increase of the ranking of Mathematical Finance (up 33 places, to become the 2nd-ranked degree in Portugal in this subject), the Masters in Management (MiM) (up 20 places, to become the 3rd-ranked degree in Portugal in the subject), the Masters in Industrial Strategy (up 7 places), Business Sciences (up 5 places), and Actuarial Science (up 3 places, to become the 1st-ranked degree in Portugal in this subject).
Some courses achieved their best ever positions in the ranking: Actuarial Science (10th), Masters in Management (13th), Management and Information Systems (16th), Quantitative Methods for Economic and Business Decision Making (18th), International Economics and European Studies (24th), currently in 3rd place nationally (Western Europe), Data Analytics for Business (25th), Mathematical Finance (27th), Human Resources Management (28th), Marketing (29th), Accounting, Taxation and Corporate Finance (39th), Management and Industrial Strategy (42nd), Business Sciences (46th).
When examining the competition in depth, we can see that Actuarial Science is now the best degree in the subject in Portugal, while Real Estate Management and Valuation, Management and Industrial Strategy, Mathematical Finance and the MBA are all ranked in 2nd place in Portugal!

The Global Management Challenge consists of a strategy and management competition, based on an interactive business simulator, in which each team takes on the role of a board of directors hired to manage a company, with the objective to obtain the best investment performance possible.
Hundreds of teams made up of company executives and university students take part in this challenge every year.
Throughout the competition, participants make top management decisions, based on an analysis of economic and financial indicators which take into account the different functional areas of the company, thus rendering them capable of testing the impact that their decisions can have on an organisation, taking into account the constraints of the market in which they compete, always with maximising customer and shareholder satisfaction in mind.
Each team must have three to five members to be eligible to take part.
The winning team from the National Final of the Global Management Challenge then goes on to represent Portugal in the International Final, in competition with the winning teams from the other participating countries.
