ISEG Alumni Económicas, Alumni Económicas celebrates its 33rd anniversary on the 10th April.

To mark the date, after the General Meeting we will be celebrating together with a dinner for ISEG alumni to get together and socialise.

We have pleasure in inviting you to participate in this special dinner at 19.30 on the ISEG Terrace.

Professor Joaquim Miranda Sarmento is the new Minister of State and Finance of the XXIV Constitutional Government, nominated after the general election on the 10th March, 2024.

The President of the Republic, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, swore in the ISEG professor at the swearing-in ceremony, which took place on the 2nd April, at the Ajuda Palace in Lisbon .

Susana Santos and Bernardo Chagas, professors at ISEG and members of ADVANCE/CSG - ISEG/ULisboa, were distinguished with an award for the Best Conceptual Paper at the '8th ISEG/ULisboa International Conference^' on Marketing, Strategy & Policy Research . .

The paper on is entitled "Understanding Chinese Consumers' Livestreaming Commerce Acceptance: A Set-Theoretic Approach“.

This conference is organised annually by the Marketing, Strategy & Policy Research Centre , and this year it took place in Goa, India, from the 26th to the 29th March.

The meeting was hosted by the Goa Institute of Management and Bharati College (New Delhi), together with the support of the Pacific States University (USA), the University of the Arts London - UAL, Lancaster University, Brunel University (UK), and Konkuk University in South Korea.

The deadline for applications for the Primus Inter Pares Prize have been extended until the 14th April, 2024.

The Prize is a joint initiative between Santander and Expresso, whose purpose is to promote a culture of rigour, professionalism, and excellence, providing the winners with opportunities for further academic education.

The application period is now open on the Prize's website, which is open to open to Masters' finalists in all subjects, up to the age of 28.

Banco de Portugal and the CFA Society Portugal are holding a competition called "My Financial Future", whose objective is to help raise the level of financial knowledge of university students and promote the adoption of appropriate financial attitudes and behaviour. 

The launch of this initiative and the signing of the partnership agreement will take place in the ISEG (Auditorium 4 Novo Quelhas), on the 21st March, at 15.00.. 

The Governor of the Bank of Portugal, Mario Centeno, will open the event, follow by the Chair of the CFA Society Portugal, Marcos Soares Ribeiro, from CFA and Professor João Duque, the Dean of ISEG.  

Later, there will be a workshop on savings and credit, with the participation of Pedro Barata, the Executive Director of the CFA Society Portugal, Susana Narciso, Head of Division of the Behavioural Supervision Department of the Bank of Portugal and Professor Victor Barros, also from CFA and an Associate Professor at ISEG.
