On 29 January, ISEG - Instituto Superior de Economia e Gestão, the Institute of Public Policy and Deloitte jointly organize the conference "Budget Watch: State Budget 2020 - Rigor and Budget Transparency".
The conference takes place at ISEG, at 17h00, in Auditorium 5 (New Quelhas Building).
This initiative is the culmination of the project Budget Watch, which has its 11th edition this year, and which evaluates the State Budget from the perspective of transparency, rigor, political responsibility and sustainability of public finances.
The purpose of the event is to present the results (IPP/ISEG Index and Report Budget Watch) of this analysis which also counts with the partnership of Deloitte Portugal which analyzes the State Budget through the Scientific Business Council, composed of business leaders in Portugal.
The session will be attended by the Secretary of State for the Budget, João Leão.

On January 21stThe seminar "Women and the Challenge of Professional Careers in Brazil", at 2:30 p.m. (ISEG, room 104 of the Bento Jesus Caraça Building, located at R. Miguel Lupi nº 20).
This seminar will be presented by Professor Maria José Tonelli and Professor Andrea Poleto Oltramari, professors at universities in Brazil.

On 4th Decemberand National Library of Portugal hosts the 5th session of the conference cycle "Luso-Brazilian Dialogues", about Science, Technology and Society, with the participation of Professor Manuel Mira Godinho, Vice-President of ISEG.
This cycle of conferences places 'mano-a-mano' leading researchers, one Portuguese and one Brazilian, around central problems, theoretical and empirical, of Contemporary Political Economy.
This initiative is co-organized by the Centre for Studies on Africa and Development (CEsA) of the Higher Institute of Economics and Management (ISEG) of the University of Lisbon, the Centre for Studies on Socioeconomic Change and Territory (DINÂMIA'CET) of the University Institute of Lisbon (ISCTE), the Institute of Contemporary History (IHC) of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities (FCSH) of the New University of Lisbon; supported by the inter-institutional PhD in Political Economy (ULisboa, ISCTE and ISEG) and the Master in Human Resources Development Policies (ISCTE/IUL), by the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT), the Portuguese Association of Political Economy, the Center for Social Studies (CES) of the University of Coimbra and ISCTE; in partnership with the BNP and Casa da América Latina.
The session runs from 17:30 to 19:15.
