On May 8, a meeting will be held at ISEG. research seminar entitled " Governance, Regulation and Economic Integration", between 10h00 and 17h30, in Auditorium 3 (Ed. Quelhas, 2nd floor).


This seminar aims to 
examine the impact of the European Union (EU) and the World Trade Organization (WTO) on economies and regulatory practices. After a quarter of a century of building these two economic integration spaces (one on a European scale and the other on a global scale), what has changed and what are the current challenges? The articulation between the EU and the WTO, the definition of integrated standards and public policies, as well as the analysis of more partial aspects, will allow access to the results of ongoing research on this strategic and very current theme.

Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul (Porto Alegre, Brazil). Ana Paula Buhse is a PhD candidate in Economics at PUCRS and is co-supervised at ISEG by Professor José Pedro Pontes. 

This seminar in the area of Development Economics is organized by the UECE - Research Unit on Complexity and Economics.
