"A Pension System for the Future"at 2pm at the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation (Foyer Room).
This seminar, organized by
Institute of Public Policy, aims to challenge academia and interested citizens, in a relaxed but rigorous way, to discuss the problems facing public policies, thus bringing to a close a project that has made an essential contribution to Portugal.
On this occasion, the Ageing Report 2018 will also be presented by the representative of the European Commission, Per Eckefeldt.
The debate is the result of the compilation of the last three Policy Papers (11, 12 and 13), in which researchers from the Institute of Public Policy sought to present a synthetic and critical view of the current public and political debate on the pension system in Portugal.

ISEG - Lisbon School of Economics & Management and IGOT - Institute of Geography and Spatial Planning, of the University of Lisbon, are hosting
The Migration Conference 2018 Lisbon(The Last Will and Testament of Mr Napumoceno da Silva Araújo), by
June 26-28, 2018.
The conference will be a forum for discussion where experts, teachers, young researchers and students working in the field of migration are encouraged to share their knowledge and experiences in a friendly and frank atmosphere.
The conference is structured into thematic panels with around 100 parallel sessions on the following topics: migration, migrant and non-migrant populations, diasporas and migration policies, with the aim of covering the whole spectrum of human mobility.
The scientific program will include oral presentations,
posters and spaces for debate and discussion.
The guest speakers will be announced and confirmed shortly. Previous editions of the conference have featured Douglas Massey, Saskia Sassen, Oded Stark, Giuseppe Sciortino, Caroline Brettell, Barry Chiswick and Karen Phalet.

The 6th and final session of the
Cycle of Seminars on Urban Food Planning, organized in partnership by
College of Food, Farming and Forestry (F3) and the
Lisbon Urban Information Center (CIUL), will address the topic "
The Influence of Ethics and Food Justice in the City" and will feature interventions by Hunter Halder (Re-Food), Jorge Cancela (FA-ULisboa) and Rute Saraiva (FD-ULisboa).
In cities, there is a paradoxical phenomenon of massification of food options and, at the same time, an increase in personalized food, a situation that reflects problems of social cohesion and food justice and raises serious questions in ethical terms, particularly in a context of sustained development and evident social and economic stratification. It is therefore important to reflect on the choices and role of the consumer in the food supply chain, new relationships between production and consumption, in particular in their relationship with land use planning and the potential of urban and peri-urban agriculture.

This cycle brings together around six themes experts from the University of Lisbon and other sectors of society with complementary skills, with regard to areas of knowledge and action.
Urban Food Planning as a result of territory, production, consumption, culture and environment is approached with a holistic vision to generate a multidimensional debate that questions expectations and actions.
