Masters in Finance student team wins again the CFA Institute Research Challenge competition in Portugal and will represent CFA Society Portugal in the EMEA 2022 finals.
This is the 5th achievement in the last 6 editions, after ISEG won for 4 consecutive years (2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020), and now 2022.
The top 7 economics and management schools in the country ('Ivy League') participate in this competition. ISEG is the only Portuguese university to reach the EMEA finals for 3 consecutive years, in 2018, 2019 and 2020, having been runner-up in the EMEA region 3 times. Only about 20-25 universities worldwide reach the finals.
The project consists in developing an evaluation of a listed company, in which students develop an evaluation report and present it to a group of professionals. This year EDP Renováveis was the target company for all participating teams. The jury's evaluation in the various phases is "blind" and therefore further highlights the quality of our students.

ISEG with the best student team in Portugal in the largest competition for Masters in Finance students worldwide. This recognition in the CFA Challenge 2022 - 5 times champions in the last 6 editions - has a special flavor when it happens: it is also in the crises and with added challenges that we see the fiber of these students, their faculty mentor and the whole team of professors that catalyze so much potential of a new generation. And now we are on our way to the European final.
