On 12 and 13 October, ISEG Lisbon School of Economics & Management welcomes the 5th edition of Public Value Fest, on the theme “AI for the People: Changing What We Value?”.
Organised in collaboration with the HHL Leipzig Graduate School of Management and Estrela Parish Council, the festival brings together participants from more than 18 countries and from different fields of knowledge, fostering an international space for dialogue, collaboration and knowledge sharing. The programme includes panel discussions, lectures, interactive sessions and cultural initiatives dedicated to reflecting on contemporary challenges.
The 2026 edition focuses on the impact of Artificial Intelligence on society, seeking to answer a fundamental question: How is AI transforming what we value? In a context where this technology is profoundly changing the way we work, learn and understand the world, the festival invites researchers, students, professionals and decision-makers to discuss the social, ethical and economic implications of this transformation.
One of the highlights of the event will be the presentation of the Public Value Lifetime Achievement Award to António and Hanna Damásio, in recognition of their contribution to knowledge and the creation of public value. Among those honoured in previous editions are internationally renowned figures such as Mark Moore, Johan Rockström, Mariana Mazzucato and Carlos Moreno.
