Debate | European Digital Arena: Governance and Law

28 Sep from 14:30 to 17:45
FDUL - Faculty of Law of Universidade de Lisboa

The European Union's Digital Agenda has emphasised the political priority given to the use and availability of data. Data Laws, Digital Services, Digital Markets and Data Governance are some recent examples of this regulation, to which the Regulation of Artificial Intelligence services has now been added. The event addresses two aspects: on the one hand, legislative production, the institutions involved and the inherent process, and on the other hand, the implementation, application and enforcement of legislation in each country. The event seeks to discuss the effects of the application of the new laws on organizations and on the lives of citizens in European countries.

We accordingly invite you to attend the debate on "European Digital Arena: Governance and Law", a ceGSI - European Club for the Governance of Information Systems event which is being jointly organised in partnership with ISEG - Lisbon School of Economics & Management and FDUL - the Faculty of Law of Universidade de Lisboa, which will be held on the 28th September, from 14h30 to 17h45, in FDUL.

The session includes two roundtables, the first of which is on lawmaking, the institutions involved, and the process, while the second is on the interpretation, application, and enforcement in each country.

This event will include the participation of experts in the field of Information Systems and Law.
