With the objective to communicate and share good practices and educational experiences that respond to new pedagogical challenges, the OAIP - Observatório de Ação e Inovação Pedagógica (Observatory for Pedagogical Action and Innovation) has pleasure in inviting members of faculty to participate in the 'Playing a card game in the classroom?' workshop, on 23 April, at 12.00, in the Room 101 - New Quelhas.
The workshop will be attended by the Vice-Dean of ISEG, Professor Winnie Picoto, and Professor Nuno Crespo are speakers.
The aim of this seminar, which has been organised by the OAIP, is to present two practical cases of using games in the classroom for teaching purposes. In the 'E-Business Technologies and Models" course unit, students are challenged to improve their skills in playing the card game Patience through the experience of using Industry 4.0 technologies. This is done by using the 'Challenge Pocket by Flower' game, which stimulates creativity and critical thinking. In addition, in the 'Company Internationalisation Strategies' course unit, rather than explore the theoretical exposition of cultural concepts in international business, students are instead invited to experience the concept of cultural distance by playing a card game. In this pedagogical way, students may thus practically experience cultural nuances and the changing rules of the 'game' of cultures.
The workshop will be delivered in Portuguese.
Free admission.
