Biography
Raquel Bernardino is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics at ISEG and a member of CEMAPRE. She completed her Ph.D. in Statistics and Operations Research, specializing in Operations Research, at the Faculdade de Ci in April 2019 with the "The Family Traveling Salesman Problem" thesis. Her main research area is the development of efficient algorithms for solving routing problems, focusing on branch-and-cut algorithms and metaheuristics. She co-authors several scientific articles in international academic journals and frequently participates in national and international conferences.
At ISEG, she teaches Operational Research units to undergraduate and graduate courses. She has successfully supervised three master's students.
