Tiago Ricardo, a student at ISEG, was one of four people from all over the country to receive the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation Medal of Merit for their active civic participation. The award was presented during the National Meeting of Gulbenkian Fellows, which took place on February 22nd and 23rd, in Lisbon.
The recognition highlights his involvement as an association leader, as well as the organization of impact initiatives, including a national summer festival and co-production of an award-winning documentary about the centuries-old traditions of his home village. In addition, Tiago Ricardo plays an active role in the National Federation of Youth Associations and is a opinion maker in the Observador newspaper, contributing to the public debate on relevant issues.
With 22 years old, Tiago Ricardo is graduated in Economics from ISEG and currently works as Executive Assistant and researcher at the Institute of Public Policy - Lisbon. His academic and professional career has already earned him several recognitions, including the distinction as one of the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation's "New Talents" for research in 2023, as well as the Banco de Portugal, ISEG Otelinda and Carlos Silveira and Caixa Geral de Depósitos Awards.
