O Tourism of Portugal has announced the launch of the 2nd Edition of the Luís Patrão Scholarship. This funding is to support higher-level academic, technical and executive training and is designed for young people up to the age of 35, with academic or technical-professional backgrounds, who want to strengthen their knowledge and develop strategic skills for the sector.
The Luís Patrão Scholarship offers scholarships for specialisation for postgraduate studies. This is a great opportunity for young people with diverse academic and professional backgrounds to receive finance support and take advantage of the multidisciplinary nature of tourism to apply new knowledge, skills, and know-how, and to add tourism to the list of areas of study for educating professionals who are thinkers, innovators, who are destined to lead the country in the future.
In this edition, the Luís Patrão Scholarship will award 10 scholarships, with an overall budget of €500,000.00 (five hundred thousand euros), divided into two different types:
- 5 specialised vocational training grants;
- 5 postgraduate, Master's or MBA scholarships.
